Raw cacao beans are a great energy source next to guarana, maca, spirulina and other amazing super foods. One amazing thing about cacao beans is the fact that they are a natural, pure source of energy which your lovely body just loves to enjoy. Crunchy and bitter, they are absolutely delicious in smoothies, raw cakes and other chocolate flavor goodies.
I love to use cacao beans as an energy booster but also as a healthy snack, always ready to be enjoyed pretty much anywhere and anytime. It is simple and easy to incorporate in a healthy lifestyle and this is what matters the most. Eating chocolate is a good thing we just have to find what flavor do we like it to get when we decide to include those amazing beans in our lifestyles. I like to use them, as well as cacao powder in raw cakes and chocolates, and maybe occasionally also in smoothies with some bananas and cashew milk.

A wonderful dessert choice made by using cacao powder and cacao beans is a raw vegan energizing cake. The two layers of cream filling are absolutely amazing and delicious, creamy and savory, and when combined with the crunchy crust and toppings they just taste divine.
The ingredients that we need for making this raw vegan cake are the following:
for the crust
100 g pitted dates
100 g almonds
vanilla powder
a few cacao beans
for the cream filling layers
vanilla layer
100 g cashews
50 g dates
vanilla
1 cup water
coconut oil
chocolate layer
100 g cashews
50 g dates
a few cacao beans
cacao powder or carob powder
coconut oil
1 cup water.
Using a food processor we mix the ingredients for the crust until they make a thick, sticky consistency and then we spread this mixture on the bottom of the cake form.
Next step is making the cream filling layers. We makes those layers by using a blender and mixing the ingredients until we get a creamy, delicious looking consistency and then we pour both layers on top of the crust.
Finally, we decorate our lovely raw vegan cake with some cashews, cacao beans and coconut flakes and leave it in the freezer for a few hours.


When it is done, we can take it out of the freezer and enjoy a slice of this delicious looking and smelling delight and enjoy it in a beautiful, warm summer day.
