The food the we choose to eat is a part of our day to day lives so it is very important to pay attention to the way we feed ourselves and the choices that we make. Of course making conscious choices is a part of the raw vegan lifestyle and the reasons we choose to be mindful about our eating experiences are very interesting and profound: better absorption of the nutrients from the foods that we eat through mindfully chewing our foods, taking care of the energetic levels of the foods, choosing fresh and nutritious foods, eating when we are actually hungry and eating as much as we need without going to extremes.
A very important aspect of a conscious eater`s life is the energetic interactions with the foods that we eat. We all know that energy is everywhere around us in many different forms and of course one way of feeding ourselves is through getting nutrients in our bodies from the foods that we eat. There are many cultures around the world that have recognized over time the importance of our interactions with the foods that we see, and now there are also scientific studies that show that there are actually differences between food that is prepared in a loving and positive environment and one that is not so lucky to have those kind of surrounding. This is the main thing that makes the difference when it comes to preparing the foods by ourselves because in this specific case we know exactly what kind of energies have the foods that we eat have been in contact with.

This idea is not weird at all even if some people may find it difficult to relate to. It is just simple science. Of course there are even more sophisticated processes going on around this subject but the important thing is to just have this idea in mind anytime we might find ourselves in a not so friendly environment. The energetic exchange that goes on between the foods that we eat and the environment that those foods travel through in order to get to our tables is a real thing and it does affect the qualities of those foods so this is why it is also important to pay attention to other factors that may play a role in this set of actions: where we buy our foods from, whom we buy our foods from, how were them raised, etc.
I love to make my own recipes and to prepare by myself what I eat and actually in the last few years it happen just a few times for me to eat foods that were prepared by someone else, it was a little weird because now I really got used to making my own but some of those experiences were actually nice and useful. Sometimes of course we may not be able to prepare our own food so we might buy some: we are traveling, we are on the go, etc but even when doing it this way it is really great to pay attention to the places that we choose and the ingredients that they use. Then we can really enjoy our eating experience.
A wonderful cake that I have recently made is this gorgeous and delicious orange cake which tastes absolutely amazing. To make this recipe we need the following ingredients:
Crust
100 amaranth flakes
200 g mix of nuts and raisins
2-3 Tbs coconut oil.
We use a food processor to mix the ingredients until we get a thick and sticky consistency and then we can put this into the bottom of a cake form.
Next layer is the chocolate orange cream layer which is made with the following ingredients:
100 g carob powder
juice of 2 small oranges
3-4 Tbs coconut oil
3-4 Tbs agave nectar
1/2 cup or more if needed of water or nut milk.
We blend the ingredients for the chocolate cream until we have a smooth and creamy consistency. Now we can spread this on top of our crust and decorate it with some orange slices, raisins and sprinkle with coconut flakes, orange peel, cinnamon.


When we are done we can put it in the fridge for a few hours until it sets and then we can take it out, slice it and enjoy some delicious orange chocolate cake made with love and joy with our lovely friends and family members. I think it a wonderful idea to share some delicious dessert recipes made by ourselves with the people that we really care for.
