Turmeric Spread

Turmeric is a great spice to add to our beautiful lifestyles no matter what we choose to eat on a day to day basis. There are many recipes including turmeric and most of them are main courses but we can also use turmeric for healthy drinks, such as turmeric lemonade, juices or smoothies or even for healthy cakes, cookies and desserts. It just gives those recipes a delicious flavor and it is also great for our bodies. Turmeric is first of all anti-inflammatory and can be found in many natural products for healthy bones and also for strengthening the immune system, but it is also great for digestion, a great antiseptic and analgesic and can also be used as a skin tonic by simply making a turmeric mask and applying it on our skin.

When it comes to incorporating turmeric in a healthy and balanced lifestyle we have here a recipe that is absolutely delicious and full of nutritious goodness. Turmeric is great for making delicious spreads and veggie pates and it can also be added to pretty much any recipe that you want if you are looking for a boost of empowering plant nutrition.

To make this turmeric spread we need the following ingredients:

2-3 tbsp turmeric powder

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

juice of 1 lemon

2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes

1/2 cup water

1-2 tbsp psyllium husk.

We get all the ingredients in a blender, with the exception of the psyllium husk which we will add later on, and blend them until smooth. When the turmeric spread is ready, we take it out of the blender and put it in a nice looking bowl. We add the psyllium husk now and mix until it sticks together. The final step is to decorate our delicious spread with some oregano, olives and sun-dried tomatoes.

This is a great recipe to share with your lovely friends and family members and it is of course a really healthy addition to any lifestyle that you find yourself currently being involved in. Change takes time but we can definitely establish now habits and find new ways of taking care of our precious bodies and of our overall health.
