Today is all about healthy and fulfilling oatmeal and oat flakes. I just love oat flakes, they are so delicious, crunchy and creamy at the same time, they can be used for all kinds of delicious plant based recipes starting with healthy drinks and spreads, veggie dishes and going all the way to amazing and nutritious, savory desserts. Oat flakes are full of fiber, great for digestion and a very fulfilling and nutritious food choice. Today s recipe is a delicious mix of oat flakes, coconut flakes, chocolate and delicious dates. YUM!

Here are the ingredients that we are going to need for this delicious recipe:
1 cup dates
1 cup oat flakes
1 cup coconut flakes
cinnamon
3-4 tbsp coconut oil.
We use a food processor to mix together all the ingredients until we get a thick and sticky consistency. We take half of this mixture apart and mix it with carob powder and then our two oat crust layers are ready so we can move on to the next step.
Next step is making our delicious chocolate cream. For the chocolate cream we are going to use the following ingredients:
1 cup dates
1/2 cup almond milk
vanilla
cinnamon
3-4 tbsp coconut oil or cacao butter.
We use a blender to mix all the ingredients together until they reach a creamy and smooth consistency. When our chocolate cream is ready, we can pour it on top of our oatmeal chocolate bars, sprinkle them with some more coconut flakes and then we can slice them as we wish. We can also allow them to sit for a little while in the fridge before serving them in order to allow them to get a firm texture.
