A Kind Way of Living

Many times we are so caught up in our own needs and desires that it may seem like we forget that we are not the only ones living on this planet. Kindness to all living beings is something that we have lost contact with over the years simply because as specific practices became acccepted and the norms of modert societies, we just choose to embrace those norms without even questioning them. But is it really normal to do all the things that we consider as definitions of normality? I truly believe that we can all benefit from this process of going though asking ourselves what is it that we are considering to be normal and how is it actually contributing to our own lives as unique inviduals as well as how is it contributing to the bigger picture.

Why do we consider some animals to be our pets while to other animals which are living beings as well, we might choose to refer to as “food”? I think that we should all ask ourselves those questions at least at some point in our lives and if the answer is “well, isn`t this what everybody else is doing?” or any variation on this theme, then we have to take a moment to tap into that place that lies inside each and every one of us and search for the truth, wait for the truth, expect the truth to be revealed to us, in a beautiful and mindful way. When we are open and when we are patient then we are always going to receive the guidance that we are searching for. There is no need to jugde ourselves for past choices but there is a human responsability that we have all got to embrace to be willing to hear the truth of our being right here, right now, in this present moment.

By being kind, we bring more kindness into our lives on a day to day basis, and just like any other practice by constant repetition it because a habbit, and by becoming a habbit we are then able to practive living a kind life without having to even think about it, it just unfolds naturally as our own way of living and being. There is no need to force things or try to make it happen right away, sometimes it might just be best to take small and steady steps in order to be fully able to embrace this new way of living while also gaining confidence that this is the place where we are truly meant to be. The moment we have faith in our actions and we interact with the world from that place of knowing what we are doing and being confident about it is the moment when we make a conscious decision to treat all living beings as one and let go of what doesn`t serve us and our purpose anymore.
