I believe that as human beings and most importantly as holistic beings that we are, it is important that we learn during the course of our beautiful, amazing and suprizing lives to be able to let go of the past or whatever is not serving us anymore, choose love, a light perspective and forgive whatever has being causing us suffering or pain. But why would we do that when we are so hardly wired to seek for revenge or maybe even hatred sometimes? Why is it helpful to forgive? And most importantly what is forgiveness after all?
For me, choosing to forgive is all about making a conscious choice to heal ourselves from whatever has been troubling us, forgive ourselves as well as other people or consequences involved in that specific event or action that we so hardly need to forgive. Forgiveness is the way to a peaceful living, a kind heart and a compassionate relationship with ourselves as well as with the world, with other beings that we might get in contact with. Forgiveness is, for sure, something that we do for ourselves, our own well being and healing but, at the same time, it is something that we do for the greater good as well. By bringing more peace and forgiveness into the world, we will naturally experience a kinder and more peaceful way of living as a result of manifesting that. Who doesn t want to live a life in peace, a life that is filled with gratitude, compassion and joy? Well, I certainly want my life to be as peaceful and fulfilling as possible and I like to do my best to make it happen.
Old patterns or beliefs might be holding us back, but this is not a reason to give up and say that this is just how we are wired to go through life, cause it is not true. We do have the power to change things, change our perspectives and experience life from a place of joy, compassion and kindness through going through the process of forgiving ourselves as well as the ones around us, or the ones that have contributed to our suffering or pain. Forgiveness is a chance to explore ourselves, to see what our boundaries are and what boundaries are we imposing on the world around us. Forgiveness helps us get to know ourselves better and simply choose love over fear in order to bring more joy, compassion and kindness into the world, on a day to day basis.
