Morning Goodies

The ways in which we decide to start our days are a pretty important part of our daily experience and even of life in general simply because the morning is that moment when we get to set our intentions for the day ahead and be ready for amazing and fulfilling adventures to take place. In order to be able to show up in our life events in ways in which we really want to, we do have to take proper care of ourselves and nourish ourselves by eating healthy and nutritious foods. One great way that I can think of for starting a wonderful new day is by simply getting a green drink and some super delicious and nutritious raw vegan bars or balls. This two part breakfast is great as it brings together both smooth and crunchy textures, is both hydrating and nourishing and it definitely tastes divine. Just try it our for your self and you will see that it is a great source of energy in the morning and if you wish so, you can even enjoy this at a later time in the day, as a super energizing snack. Yum.

For this recipe we are going to use the following ingredients:

Smoothie

1 banana

1/2 cup valerian salad

1 teaspoon matcha powder

1/2 cup – 1 cup water or nut drink.

We use a blender to mix all the ingredients together and blend until we get a smooth and creamy consistency. When the smoothie is ready, we can take it our of the blender and pour it into a nice looking glass or cup of choice.

Balls or Bars

1/2 cup dates

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup walnuts

1/2 cup buckwheat flakes

2-3 tbsp agave nectar

2-3 tbsp coconut oil

optional : oat flakes, coconut flakes, guarana powder.

We use a food processor to mix all the ingredients together until we get a sticky and thick consistency. When this is ready we can go ahead and make our balls or bars of choice and pack them for a later serving or serve them right away with the delicious and nutritious green smoothie.

Making healthy and fulfilling choices on a day to day basis is a habit just like any other habit and it requires repetition in order to became second nature, but as soon as our bodies and our minds get used to the new habit, then everything unfolds naturally, in a healthy, balanced way. I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and nourish ourselves with the most nutritious and fulfilling plant based foods available to us at all times, then we are really able to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest.
