I simply love this time of the year. The weather is just about perfect, not too hot, nor too cold, it is simply just fine. I love to go outside for walks at any time of the year, but I definitely love and enjoy it the most at this particular time of the year. There is also lots of beauty out there, everything is green and blossoming again and we have got longer days and more natural vitamin D from the sun as well. It is really great to be trying out raw vegan goodies, especially at this time of the year, as it all starts to get super colorful and joyful. There is plenty of fruits and veggies at the food markets right now, and there is also lots of locally grown produce as well which makes it easier to both have a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle and also support our local communities. This sounds absolutely divine!
Today`s recipe is a delicious and nutritious mix of healthy fats, apple goodness and nourishing greens and supercharging benefits of the spirulina powder. Spirulina is great as a healthy plant based protein source, as well as a great energizer for our amazing bodies and also a wonderful add for people who are intense or hard working to be able to get or supplement their protein intake with not that much of a struggle. Here are the ingredients that we are going to use for this smoothie recipe:
1 apple
1/2 avocado
1/2 cup mix of greens
1 cup water
spirulina powder.

We use a blender to mix all the ingredients together and blend them until we get a smooth and creamy texture. When our smoothie is ready, we can take it our of the blender and pour it into a nice looking jar or cup of choice. Or you can even a glass bottle and take it with you on the go, if that is what you desire. This delicious and nutritious smoothie can definitely be served at any place. It is simple and easy to make and it only takes around 10 minutes to be ready. Of course, it can be served right away or kept in the fridge for about 24 hours, but it is always best to serve it as soon as possible so that we can get the maximum of its nutritional benefits. It also tastes super fresh and that makes it an awesome choice for a morning beverage. YUM!
