Home is not just a place, but also a state of being. I used to say that home is whenever I would be living because it is something that lies inside of me, but now, after a few challenges, ups and downs I have realized that it is both: a place and a state. We do need both in order to live a healthy balanced life, simply because as long as we are human beings we are both physical and spiritual at the same time, therefore we do need to feel accomplished on both levels in order to be able to live a holistic life. I would even go further than that and say that they are both influencing each other and independent on many levels, but still it is very important to have balance and a sense of peace on each one of them. During the years I have gone from thinking of home as a purely physical place, which was a bit painful because I could not really be my true self, to then trying to detach from this perspective and say that home is a state of being, that I can feel at home no matter where I am as long as I am fine on the inside, which is true, but still a sense of safety, security and coziness that a physical place might bring are also a part of the entire picture. So now, this is why I see it as both, a balance between safety, security and coziness of a location as well a state of peace and accomplishment that comes from the inside.

Home is not always the same place or the same state of being, or otherwise said, home might not always have the same coordinates. Sometimes change occurs, and most probably it will occur many times during our lives span, but this does not mean that we have to get anxious about it. As long as we are able to understand the change, find the reasons and have some goals for how we want things or expect things to unfold in the future, than we are definitely going to be well prepared to navigate whatever change might unfold in our lives. We may get stuck when we have limiting beliefs such as only this or only that….or if only and so on and so forth than we would be happy. This is an illusion. We have the power to act and make a step towards happiness right here, right now in this present moment. It is all about making conscious choices and of course taking responsibility of the choices that we make. We have got to be true to ourselves always. Yes, we might get some people angry, some might get upset, but it is going to be all right. We have just got to do what we have got to do. There is no need for blaming and shaming simply because when we make choices that reflect our inner truth, than everything else unfolds beautifully, and even if some things might be scary or weird at first, by assuming responsibility and control over the decisions that we make, we are going to in the end feel a sense of relief, as well as accomplishment and joy. And, of course, as a result, everything else will also fall into place, just as it was meant to be.
