Hair care is a very important part of my weekly rituals and therefore I would like to share with you today the products and practices that I use on a regular basis in order to have a happy, healthy and good looking hair. I do have a pretty thin hair since I was little so as a general tendency I do use mostly hair products for volume and strengthening. I have recently discovered the cosmetics brand Dr. Konopka`s and I have already tested in the last few months most of the products. I tried a few of the brands shampoos as well and I love them. Right now I am enjoying the strengthening trio: shampoo, conditioner and hair mask and they are great. I love that they are vegan and they smell so good from all the plants and goodies that are used for the recipes of creating those amazing care products. This rosemary blend is really amazing and divine and it works perfectly fine for my currents needs, wishes and desires when it comes to a healthy and good looking hair. For years I have not been using conditioner on a regular basis, but this year I have decided to give it a try, and it is indeed useful for my hair because, as thin as it may be, my hair also gets very messy quickly, and using a conditioner can be really helpful for smoothing the hair. As for the masks, I have been using commercially made masks, like this one, which is really great and I am really enjoying using it, but I also love making my own masks both for face care and for hair care.

Ever since I was little I just loved making home made masks, both for my face and for my hair. I used to prepare them before a bath and allow them to sit for anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour. Sometimes I would use olive oil, argan oil or shea butter, some other times a more nuanced and intense smelling combination of ingredients, such as a floral water, but in general those are pretty simple and easy to make, quick masks, that just made the whole experience more therapeutic like and even more relaxing. Lately I have really been enjoying a home made mask from time to time with just two super simple ingredients that just smells divine: shea butte and rose oil. Its absolutely great, I personally use it for both face and hair care, and I love to use shea butter for body care as well. Shea butter is a great ingredient for masks and cosmetic care because it is so beneficial for its strengthening properties as well as healing and regeneration properties and because the smell is so neutral it can easily be mixed with pretty much any other ingredient that has a stronger fragrance. Shea butter can also help with skin problems, in this case it can be helpful for dandruff for example and of course it does add moisture and shine to the hair as well as to the skin. I personally find it to be very soothing as a part of a weekly ritual, especially during winter times, but in general, I would not use it on a daily basis because then it would tend to grease my hair or skin, since I do have a tendency towards that, other that that it works perfectly fine for a spa relaxing ritual.
