I just simply love and adore berries, they are absolutely amazing and colorful, nutritious and delicious, such a wonderful gift, simply amazing. Today I am going to share with you a lovely and simply smoothie bowl recipe which of course includes berries as you can see from the color of the smoothie its all about blueberries today. Yum! I think that blueberries are among my favorite berries, but honestly I love them all, and find them all to be incredibly versatile and ready to be used in all kinds of smoothies and breakfast recipes, as well as delicious and rich dessert recipe.

Today`s recipe is super simple to make. It basically includes two steps, making the smoothie and making the granola mix and then at the end putting it all together in a beautiful looking bowl of your choice. Here are the ingredients that we are going to need for each part of this wonderful looking and deliciously tasting smoothie bowl:
For the smoothie
2 bananas
1 / 2 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
veggie milk of choice around 1 – 2 cups ( I chose soy – vanilla for mine )
We mix all the ingredients together into a blender until they reach a creamy and smooth consistency.

For the granola
1 /2 cup gluten free oat flakes
1 / 2 crispy buckwheat flakes
1 / 2 coconut shredded or big coconut chips and some more for decorating at the end
1 / 2 cup chia seeds
optional carob powder, cinnamon, other flakes, like amaranth or quinoa.
We mix together the smoothie with the granola mix and allow some time for the flakes and especially the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and turn it all into a pudding like consistency, then we can decorate it with some more banana sliced and some coconut flakes or any other options that you might desire. It simply looks amazing and just trust me on this, it tastes amazing as well.
